The Regimental Museum
War of 1812
During the War of 1812-1814,
the sons and daughters of the
original settlers banded
together to defend their homes
against invasion. Most were
members of the five Regiments
of Lincoln Militia. They fought
with Brock at Detroit and
Queenston Heights. They saw
action at Fort George, Fort
Erie, Beaver Dams, Chippawa
and Lundy's Lane. Many times
they were fighting literally in
their own back yards.
