Governnor Clark Gunboat

The "Governor Clark" gunboat was propelled by thirty-two oars. The wood planking was thick enough to stop musketballs. The boat carried 14 swivel cannons that fired a shot of one to one and a half pounds. It had a crew of 80 men while defending Prairie du Chien.

*NOTE* A swivel cannon was a miniture cannon with a one to two inch bore.
