The Invasion of Canada

Forty years after the 1775 revolution against the British by their American settlers, in 1812, the Americans invaded Canada again. This invasion stemmed from old grievances that had not been settled following the American Revolution. One of the first battles fought was at Queenston Heights, near Niagara Falls. The British commander, General Isaac Brock, defeated a much larger American force, though he himself was killed. This is the tunic Brock wore. If you look very closely, you can see the hole from the bullet that struck him in the chest.
